Pouya Taaghol is the founder of Big Data Federation, a technology company that predicts business fundamentals, economies, industry inflections and secular shifts using big data and AI. Pouya was the CTO of Cisco’s Video and Collaboration Group and Intel’s of Mobile Wireless Group where led a team of 150+ of wireless and networking experts located in 3 continents. He was involved in over $2B of M&A, investment due diligence, IP acquisition, and business sell-offs. He led global technology partnership, investment and acquisition strategies, converged architectures, and technology roadmap.

Pouya has created and led large industry initiatives in wireless such as WiGig, WiDi, WiMAX, and All-IP LTE core networks. Pouya was a founding member of a Silicon Valley startup (Azaire Networks), a WiFi offloading technology company (acquired by Ruckus Wireless). Pouya has also held senior positions at Motorola and NEC on 3G network development and deployments. Pouya holds over 25 issued and pending patents in wireless/networking/security/big data, and 150+ publications and contributions to standards bodies. Pouya holds a BSc from Sharif University of Technologies (Iran) and a PhD from University of Surrey (UK).
