Mentorship breakfast with Javed Patel

Javed Patel is an Open SV Board Member and CM. He is a tech industry veteran with experience in a wide array of sectors ranging from semiconductors to enterprise cloud and software.

During his career, he has been involved with large and small companies in engineering, sales, marketing and senior management roles. Specifically, over the last 25 years he has enjoyed the world of start-ups. He has been CEO and founder of several companies with a proven track record of building companies to achieve successful exits—both via M&A as well as IPOs. He has successfully lead teams of bankers and senior executives though entire M&A and IPO cycles. He also has extensive hands-on experience in leading corporate transformations in public and private companies. Most recently he was Co-Founder of a Software Defined Data Center startup. Javed has BSEE and MSEE degrees from University of Kansas and an MBA degree from Drexel University. In addition to the world of entrepreneurship and start-ups, he enjoys following Jayhawk basketball and Pakistan cricket.

We had an engaging Women's Leadership Forum at Netflix campus on Saturday. Over 250 people attended. Now we are on our way towards our yearly OPEN SV Forum, which is a must attend event for all.

EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of Marvell Semiconductor
 
Raghib Hussain is Marvell’s Executive Vice President for the Networking and Processors Group. He also serves as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to joining Marvell in 2018, Raghib served as the Chief Operating Officer of Cavium, a company he co-founded. Prior to launching Cavium, Raghib held engineering roles at both Cisco and Cadence, and helped found VPNet, an enterprise security company. Raghib earned a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University in Karachi, and an MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University. He holds 30 patents in the fields of networking and security.
